Our Program
A curated curriculum of hands-on experiences designed to build confidence, capability, and character.

Baking & Cooking
Children make their own snacks and bake goods for younger children in our next-door centre.
Guided through the baking process, older children take on leadership roles by reading recipes to younger ones.
Children host bake shows twice per academic year, sharing their creations with the community.

Sewing & Crafts
Children create functional items such as bags and pouches for charitable causes like Days For Girls (helping girls in poorer countries attend school) and items like hats and masks for local homeless shelters.
This work refines fine motor skills while teaching children they can make a difference in someone else's life.

Mindfulness & Sound
Sound therapy with crystal bowls helps quiet busy minds, release stress, and restore inner balance.
Research shows it improves children's ability to relax, regulate emotions, and enjoy deeper sleep.
Children learn focus, mindfulness, and self-regulation skills in child-centered sessions where they can listen, move, learn breathing techniques, or explore instruments themselves.

Nature & Gardening
In spring, children will raise 8-10 layer chickens in our existing greenhouse, hoping for blue, yellow, and pink eggs.
They'll also tend an outdoor garden and work with our hydroponic garden inside.
These hands-on experiences teach responsibility, life cycles, and the joy of caring for living things.

Skating & Movement
Children attend one-hour free skating sessions twice per week at the Sackville Sport Stadium.
Physical activity is essential for healthy development, and our skating days combined with outdoor play ensure children develop gross motor skills, balance, and a love for active living.

Woodworking
Children gain experience and skills with small tools while working to complete wooden items such as picture frames, birdhouses, and boxes.
This hands-on work builds confidence, precision, and problem-solving abilities while creating functional items they can use or gift.

PD Day Adventures
We view Professional Development days as opportunities for extension.
Children choose from curated outings to museums, farms, or zoos, fostering autonomy and connecting learning to the wider community.
Holiday Care
We understand the needs of working families. Marcus Montessori remains open during Christmas and March breaks, offering engaging camps that maintain our high standards of care and learning. We are only closed on statutory holidays.
